SUMMARY:2024 AAPA Picnic\, Membership & Elections Meeting update
DESCRIPTION:Date: May 11th\, new time: 1 pm to 5 pm\nAddress: Burns Park Shelter\, 1300 Baldwin Ave\, Ann Arbor\, MI 48104 (entrance at the corner of Wells & Baldwin\, map here)\nAll are welcome: Members\, interested guests\, and friends – you don’t have to be a member to attend!\nDuring the meeting\, we will elect the AAPA board for the upcoming 2024-25 term; members (those who have paid the annual dues ($35) will be able to vote\nIf you haven’t yet and would like to become a member\, simply send a check to: Ann Arbor Polonia Association\, PO Box 130 423\, Ann Arbor\, MI 48113 or contribute via Zeffy here\nYou may also make your membership dues payment in person at the meeting. All are invited to become members! You can find more information on our site  here\nNew: after the formal portion\, we will have the privilege of hosting a lecture by Dr. Ewa Klekot\,  Senior Widzinski’s Visiting Fellow at the Copernicus Center for Polish Studies at the University of Michigan. The lecture is titled ‘People from the Porcelain Factory: A Story on Skills in Making from Ćmielów\, Poland’.\nWe’ll provide sausages for grilling and soft drinks. However\, the picnic is a POTLUCK & BYOB affair\, so please bring a dish to share!\nChildren are more than welcome to join in the fun.\nWhile seating is available at the shelter\, feel free to bring your own camping or portable chairs for more comfort.
